Membership terms

These are the terms of being here. We have tried to write them the way we would explain them across a table: short, honest, and without traps in the footnotes.

Who can join

• You must be 18 or older, verified through our age verification partner.
• imero is invite-only. Invites carry reputation: if someone you invited seriously misbehaves, that reflects on you as the inviter.
• One membership per person. Duplicate or fake accounts are removed.
• A couple account is two logins under one membership. You each act for yourself, but you share responsibility for the account: what one of you does on it, you both answer for.

How we expect you to behave

• Consent first. Always, in every interaction, online and at events. A no is complete and needs no explanation.
• Discretion. What people share here stays here. Do not reveal who you have seen on the platform or at an event.
• No screenshots. Not of profiles, not of photos, not of conversations.
• No commercial use. No advertising, recruiting, selling, or promotion of paid services of any kind.

Your content

• No explicit content in public spaces. Public here means anywhere visible beyond the audience you explicitly chose.
• You own what you upload. Your photos and words remain yours.
• You give us a limited licence to display your content to the members you have permitted to see it, including generating the blurred and resized derivatives that make our privacy features work. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

Enforcement

When the rules are broken, we respond on a ladder, matched to the severity:

Every decision comes with a written statement of reasons, and every decision can be appealed. Reports involving minors or non-consensually shared images skip the ladder: they are fast-tracked with a 24-hour target and reported to authorities where the law requires it.

At events

• The house rules of the venue apply on top of these terms. The host's word is final on their own floor.
• Door passes are personal. They cannot be transferred, resold, or shared.

Liability, in plain words

We run the platform with care, but we are a meeting place, not a chaperone. Members are responsible for their own choices and conduct, including at events, which are run by independent venues under their own responsibility. We provide the platform as it is; we do not promise it will never be down or never have a bug. Nothing in this section limits liability that Dutch law says cannot be limited.

Billing

Membership pricing follows later, once the payment provider is chosen. Founding members keep their promised benefits. This section will be completed before any charge is ever made, and nothing here is billable today.

Ending your membership

You can leave whenever you want, from your settings, no questions asked. Your account disappears immediately, with a 14-day restore window before hard deletion, as described in the privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we announce it inside the platform before it takes effect. Continuing to use imero after that date means you accept the new version.
